This October, Beckley Art Center invites you to embrace the mysterious and the supernatural with our juried exhibition, All Things Macabre — a showcase of dark beauty, haunting emotion, and eerie imagination. Regional artists explore themes of mortality, myth, and the unknown through painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media, offering a chillingly captivating experience that celebrates the spirit of the season.
Join us for the exhibition reception on Tuesday, October 28, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM, as we unveil this compelling collection. The evening continues with Hauntings in Appalachia from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, featuring storyteller Jodi French-Burr, who will share local and regional legends of haunted places, restless spirits, and Appalachian lore.
Tickets for the storytelling event are $10 per person and can be reserved through our website HERE
(Not recommended for children under 10 years old.)
Come see how art, folklore, and imagination intertwine in this one-of-a-kind autumn celebration — where the shadows hold stories and creativity takes a darker turn.
